thats been my whole point all along..that its imported goods like electronics that have been deflating...do you remember when RCA, Zenith and Curtis Mathis were U.S. companies?..name one U.S. company that makes a tv, a radio, a VCR or a DVD anymore.

What about machine tools and equipment...an imported lathe or mill is a hell of a lot cheaper than one made in the U.S.
Or that imported Kubota tractor thats half the price of a John Deere

60% of the U.S. economy is services and those services are going through the roof..i now go to Mexico for dental care..my wife saw a Canadian doctor last summer and got better care for half of what it would cost in the U.S.
And my taxes are going through the roof so some teacher can get paid more for doing less or some road repair guy can get a raise for standing there with his thumb up his ass like he always has.

Those that take our economic data as gospel won't change their views...but i have long contended that CPI is understated and GDP is overstated..and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know why.

There is tons of data out there that shows deflation in the rest of the world and data that shows how the U.S. is inflating out the ears...and then you have the media that prints what its told to print.
