I know we have stockcharts.com - not sure if we have this for the other BPs. Will find out.

Percentage would be better - and there were some studies done a while ago that found that 2.58 was a good box size for log charts, for certain entities (I forget what they were - might have been commodities actually) and 2.58 as a box size does seem to create charts that look similar to traditional P&F charts.

It is just that since there are certain "expectations" on how BPs are calculated (you know the hell we've gone thru trying to figure out what exactly to use for the collection of stocks on the NYSE when calculating the BPNYSE!), we decided to just do what is usual and stick with traditional box sizes . . .
