The liberals are telling us we're now incapable of this kind of military activity. Who to blame, if not the incompetent Clinton administration? The basis of the liberal contention is that we can't afford it because we are running budget deficits again. Under Clinton, there was budget surpluses. Under Reagan and Bush Sr., there were deficits. The Reps. of that era did not believe in living within their means, and felt no apprehension about having several wars going at the same time. It appears that Clinton was more enlightened. Sadly, Bush Jr. wants to take us back to thse dark years under his dad and Reagan. ted
