Earlier on this thread, I have posted about the long term multi-decade (about 33 +/- 2 years) market/economic cycle. Within that commentary, I've discussed that we're currently in the Plunge beginning of a secular bear market. Furthermore, I've posted about the sever exacerbating consequences of attempts to "short circuit" the economic cycle - the massive debilitating inflation of the '70s.

Recent pronouncements from the Fed leave little doubt that we're again embarked on a crusade to thwart the market/economic cycle. While I suspect that the ultimate result of this effort may well be a disaster, that's not the point. Rather one needs to be aware of the effort and it's effects on various investment vehicles.
