Pardon moi? Is it not a common argument of the gun control mob that "militia" in that amendment means a military body organized and armed by the state?

They may be part-time soldiers like the National Guard, but nevertheless they operate under the sanction of and orders of the state.

And the argument is that that amendment covers ONLY such bodies and that private citizens not members of such bodies have no constitutional right to bear arms, that that is a privilege granted by the government and it can be taken away at any time for any reason.

And if you don't like that argument, what is your criterion for private gun ownership? Shall it be allowed at all? To whom? What weapons?

And what does that amendment mean?

If it is not in the Constitution to protect a private citizen's right to keep and bear arms, why is it there at all? The right of governmental bodies to do such has never been disputed.
