I was just posting the pre-article blurb from Drudge...
Obviously someone "leaked" it to him in order to create some "hype"...
But the fact that there might be a "defector" in the Bush administration, especially when loyalty is considered almost a blood oath, should make for some interesting reading..
Btw, journalistic sources don't necessarily have to be cited, but it was obvious that this one would be revealed... And it has been, according to an update:
The former aide, John J. DiIulio Jr., a domestic affairs expert and professor at the University of Pennsylvania, was appointed by President Bush to head the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives in the second week of the new administration, claims all decisions are politicized by Bush's top adviser Karl Rove, and that the policy staff is afraid to confront him.
The guy has been there from the beginning, and headed a department that, I believe, was not funded(I seem to recall hearing or reading something recently.. correct me if I'm wrong)
This is bad for Rove, and likely a shot across the bow for Bush as well...
The guy would seem to have some credibility...
