NSUMIR, weekly COMP chart with 26-week Full Sto and RSI:

might be best to differentiate between bull and bear markets as 26 week period (6 months) smooths out short-term moves. RSI had AV every single time during 1990-2000 and it had DB every single time during 2000-2002 (so far).
