Correct. Technological advances will give the impression of wealth enhancement, but real wages and standard of living in relative terms will stagnate or decrease.


This is so silly as to bring the whole essay under suspicion. One would have to assume that the public is never a beneficiary of interest paid on borrowed money, that they never benefit from return on equity or investment. I would dare to say people who never receive an interest payment in their entire lives are still beneficiaries of borrowed and invested money.
