It was a very international group - only our host and another guy was American, while the guests were Italian, Romanian, Swedish, German, etc...
A huge stuffed turkey was reduced to bones in no time, along with several kilos of boiled potatoes, beans, eggs topped with a mayonnaise mix, AND copious amounts of alcohol. I also ate gravy for the first time and saw it was not as horrid as I imagined from the description ("You know the grease that drips from grilled meat? Well, that's gravy.") <ggg>
All that was topped with pumpkin pie & whipped cream AND chocolate chip cookies. Wow. Never in my life have I seen two guys cook so well, nor so many people eat so much.
In all, it was great. I don't think I will be able to say "food" for a week <ggg> |
