also doesn't help that your Intel stock takes a free fall when the revenue and expense shenanigans are discovered by the public at large (and you thought Enron was bad). After they shed all those money losing divisions, they might make it as a foundry. They will have frittered the CPU accumulated profits all away on delusions of grandeur or past glories.

Of course they could come clean, admit all of their mistakes, clean up those shenanigans, remove their grand illusions and compete vigorously on merit. Given their past actions, I wouldn't give them good odds of doing it.

The problem here is you're using what I refer to as "Creationist Logic". You're starting with a conclusion ("Intel has secretly been losing money for years and hiding it from the public like Enron") and going out looking for data that specifically supports that position (or can be twisted to support it through some sort of mental gymnastics). The individual using this type of "thought" process usually is going against the mainstream and claims to have found something others have missed (see the recent upgrades of Intel stock from several analysts).

Problem is, you've been singing this song for years now, and I'll simply repeat the refrain I've always responded with. If you've got a case, take it to the FTC or SEC.
