I thought of you when I read this today (re our recent discussion of "value pricing" of baseball tickets based on the opposition):

NOW that the Mets are charging extra to see Barry Bonds, they’d better not walk him.

I don’t care if pitching around him or giving him an intentional walk makes for sound, in-game strategy. As long as the Mets, this coming season, will, by their own admission, charge extra to see Barry Bonds perform, they’d better not walk him. Are they unfamiliar with the term bait-and-switch?


He has a point.
