Yea, some prominent positions in government: councelor of the Vizir/king etc. But don't tell it to anyone: the Jews were secret councelors only. It's because they were Jews, and the people wouldn't have appreciated.

Same for Europe btw. (OK England was an exception, sometimes). In some cities Jews had to wear a yellow hat no matter what, but in the ghetto.
