It's the number 1 reason for dropping valuation criteria in favor for stocks at any price. It's been talked about since the 80's extensively... maybe you haven't seen it in a while. <I think that the reason for this is that it completely invalidates the mystical incantations invoked by Wall Street professionals and that the general populace is so mathematically illiterate that they do not understand it.> Anyone could understand it first of all... "The Pig in a Python" is right there at the check out counter next to 'idiots guide to everything' and "World weekly news". As for invalidating mystical incantations, the demographic argument is one of the MAIN REASONS for the mysticism! You can buy stocks at any price because everyone else needs them for retirement... old valuation criteria are stupid, this is the new age of demographics! I think this has been going on for so long you've forgotten that it's been talked about since the 80's. The only problem with the whole thing is that someone forgot to mention that demographics works just like real life... Bulge of people to buy stocks??? Well, bulge of people to get into debt... bulge of people to sell stocks, bulge of people with no retirement, bulge of people to print the retirement money for, healthcare money for, etc etc. Bulge of people to stampede into gold when it gets moving... WhatCHewSchmokin??? DAK
