Significance is a subjective judgment.
You can be logical about making the subjective judgment, but the logic of a human is still limited by their POV- so we are not, and I doubt ever will be, really objective.

The limitation could be considered only a limitation of the people making the judgement and not on the distinctions between things. Since humans are not omniscient or perfectly wise thier perception of and discription of the differences between things is also limited and imperfect, but that doesn't change the actual fact that some things are very different then others.

(BTW I'm not making an argument for God at this point despite using terms like omniscient often applied to God.)
