From The Perspective Of The Power's That Be

Unfortunately the question becomes a question of possibly avoiding death today at the expense of dying twice tomorrow.

I am inclined to believe however that the risks of attempting to keep this afloat for the almost two years between now and the next presidential election are so great that after this pre Christmas ramp that gravity will be allowed to assert itself, at least temporarily, and we will see a "controlled burn" in the first half of 2003 to reduce the possibility of an uncontrolled burn in 2004 before the election.

My speculation obviously depends on the powers that be recognizing that while they may be powerful that they do in fact have limits, which while possible, is not something that they have demonstrated thus far.
