I agree that weakness in the dollar could help the gold longs, but I see no reason to anticipate the breakout. I prefer to wait and my gut is the next move will be to the downside. I don't see a low risk opportunity, nor am I clear on the direction of the breakout.

By the way I learned yesterday that the futures junctures arm of Prechter's operation did go long gold based on their interpretation of the wave, which more or less is your suggested interpretation.. However, Hochberg who runs another section is bearish. So, not only can't the elliott people agree, even those who work for the same employer.

Yes my comments about shorting were directed to the US equity markets. I think we are over extended and I do think the bear is over yet. Although I made money on this rally, it is in my belief a bear market rally.
