Viasystems to Manufacture 61,000 Hop-On Cell Phones

Viasystems, Hop-On Announce Volume Manufacturing and Low-Cost Component Sourcing Agreement for China Production

IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hop-On (OTC: HPON ) today announced that Viasystems will manufacture 61,000 Hop-On CDMA 800 MHz disposable/recyclable cell phones. The order is the initial phase of a volume manufacturing and low-cost component sourcing agreement between the two companies for production in China. Hop-On is the leading developer of disposable and fully recyclable cell phones. Viasystems is a worldwide provider of electronics manufacturing services to original equipment manufacturers, primarily in the telecommunications, networking, automotive, consumer, industrial and computer industries. With 22 manufacturing plants on three continents, Viasystems' capabilities cover a wide spectrum of services that provide cost-competitive manufacturing for its customers.
