That is called a vote. And it will always be a vote because nothing can ever be known in this reality such that it is incontrovertible. Scientists are just doing the best they can without God, but they are all lost. So... they just vote.

Well, on this level, I really cannot be concerned whether your religion is false or true. I am only concerned with what I have been shown. I am sincere when I tell you if you wish to be an atheist, I cannot really care about it ultimately. I at best can share with you another possibility, but if you reject it, then that is your choice. It's your afterlife.

Perhaps for some. As for me, I would rather burn in hell than lie about belief just to try to avoid a hell I don't really detect. Fear is no authority here and never has been.
