I would think this self-checkout system would do less for the stock of HD than it would for the stock of Optimal Robotics of Montreal. I'll have to find that company's ticker symbol.

To me, any self-checkout system represents an erosion of customer service. At HD, it's often hard enough as it is to find a good floor person. Now we'll also have to put up with that computerized voice saying "Hit '1' to continue in English, hit 'dos' para continuar en espanol."
