Semiconductor Shares Astonish

For investors, few things get the juices flowing like a full-tilt rally in semiconductor stocks. And the juices are flowing these days.

Since the stock market began its latest rebound in early October, stocks of computer-chip companies are up an astonishing 66% as investors bet on a broad economic recovery and a rise in demand for products such as personal computers and cellphones. Now, the question is whether chip stocks have climbed to another short-lived peak -- like they did a year ago -- or are in the early stages of a long-term bull run.
