This is not true. They were NOT part of the "Religious Right" as we know it -- Falwell, et.al.

You don't know that.

I DO know that; I don't think ANYONE is suggesting there isn't widespread support amongst the Islamic community for these activities. The Saudis clearly support it; Iraq clearly supports it; the Palestinians clearly support it; Iran clearly supports it.
