If you're still watching CNBC.......

You're way behind the curve when it comes to making money in the stock market. I know traders at several large hedge funds, and all made the permanent switch to Bloomberg a long time ago. They even think that CNN or Fox is better than CNBC during the trading day. It's difficult to make money trading off movie reviews, wine tastings, and golf tournaments. For large parts of every day, CNBC has basically become a "stock-free zone"...almost an irrelevant "Access Hollywood" retread. The fact that they are still "out to lunch" at 3pm with their Power Lunch segment unintentionally says it all.

When it comes to making money during the trading day, Bloomberg is IT. No focus on anchor personalities, no meaningless endless chatter, no movie reviews, no segments on Hollywood producers, no wine tastings, and no golf. Just news that impacts stocks and the market. If you're not watching it, you're at a serious disadvantage.
