Another note, on the last 3-BPCOMP sell signals, the index dropped no more than 3% after the sell signal before rising towards the final highs. Last fall, for example, the sell was at COMP 1903, and the low after that was 1889. In April 2001 the sell was at 2059 and the low was at 2000 a couple sessions later. In January 2001 the low was only 1/2% below the sell, and it came the next day. The high was 3-sessions later.

I guess what I'm saying is you may want to use this signal and watch your shorts (and especially options) near term.

For the long term, 5-7 months, the prices should be at least 40-45% below these levels, so it's not a bad signal.

The current sell came about 6% from this week's top.
