I don't get it. You're a libertarian, right? skeptical of government power, leery of official secrecy, suspicious about potential abuses? So why would you embrace the return to office of a bunch of secretive power-hungry criminals who abused the public trust and have shown absolutely zero repentance about it? Iran-Contra was serious stuff. In any kind of sensible system, Poindexter would be kept as far away from government office as possible. And Abrams would be viewed with an extremely jaundiced eye. The only reason they escaped actual criminal penalties was because of technicalities or cronyistic pardons--just the sort of thing the Clinton-haters went berserk over.
