I'd be in support of regime change if they could do it with just one bomb. I would think that the Iraqi people, on average, would be in favor of that, unless it led to tough times due to instability or an even worse regime.

Carl, if I were living in Iraq and some guy I disliked made me a proposal along the following lines:

"If I invade and liberate you and your friends from this degrading situation, there is about a 10% -20% chance you may killed, and I'll make a mess of your country doing it, but if you survive you will get a chance at a new start. I don't know what that's going to look like and the conditions initially will hard but, there's about a 50% chance things will improve quickly. But in any case Saddam and friends will be gone. You wanna take the chance?"

I'd go for it. I'm a very ordinary person. Not a heroic bone in my body I'll admit to. Odds just don't look too bad and the kid down the street got scooped up a while back, haven't seen him since, friend of the family....
