HyperDynamics Launches SCS NuData Management System; Major Oil Companies Begin Purchasing
HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2002--HyperDynamics Corp., (OTCBB:HYPD), "enabling tomorrow, today ... ," announced that its wholly owned subsidiary SCS Corp. is launching its new NuData(TM) Management System. The NuData(TM) system was developed and successfully implemented as part of a long-term contract for a super major oil company. We are in the process of submitting proposals to numerous oil companies, including several other majors, which have started to purchase the NuData services and are expressing significant interest in long-term contracts.
Neil Moore, president of HyperDynamics' wholly owned SCS Corp., commented, "Through the years, voluminous amounts of valuable seismic data has been kept on various data storage tapes of many different types and formats along with paper records relating to this data. The problem has been the ability to efficiently find and gather all the related information pertaining to a specific geographic location." Moore further stated, "This stockpile of information, some being extremely bulky in physical size and shape, is typically scattered and stored in various multiple locations. The NuData(TM) Management System provides a complete solution for organizing and consolidating all this valuable information."
Clients are now able to move their old and sporadically archived exploration and production data to an instantly retrievable DVD-RAM based online storage. NuData(TM) provides a comprehensive data management system for all seismic data including tapes, well logs, observer notes, and legal records. Using the NuData(TM) Management System, a geo-explorer has, for first time, all data they need on a DVD disk. The System combines the power of SCS's Onyx software with a state-of-the-art cataloging, job tracking and asset control system. Each piece of data media is bar-coded and tracked through the system so a client can track a project status 24 hours a day via the Internet. Cataloging is triple checked from the client's original database and data is captured from the Onyx system and then entered by qualified technicians. Tape data can be converted from over 120 formats to SEG Y and consolidated on to a DVD disk along with all the pertinent paper records in the universally accepted Adobe PDF format. This process creates a standalone exploration disk for any specific geographic location. Additionally, all historical ownership and legal information can be scanned and maintained on a survey-by-survey basis.
SCS is offering a data management analysis to interested clients. Interested parties may call 713-353-9440 or e-mail info@scscomputers.com for more information. |
