Ah Yes, Lorrie, I am a great lover of the Pacific Northwest. In fact, I plan to move further north very soon but will remain in California for a very silly reason, that being that I have a pair of antique cars and do not want to give up my old yellow-on-black California plates. I'll probably move to Ft. Bragg, Mendocino, or even Eureka. I loved Crescent City before they built Pelican Bay. I understand the lights of Pelican Bay keep that little berg in daylight all of the time, giving a whole new meaning to "The Northern Lights."

BTW, not to pick straws, you missed the geographic boat on Porterville also. Porterville is near the High Sierras. One of the other towns you noted (I forget the name right now) I have never heard of but have an inkling that it too is in Northern Califoria, but I could be wrong. California geography can be such a bear. Maybe that's why the State Flag has a bear on it. Remember in my post to you I asked if anyone had even heard of Vacaville or Benicia? See what I meant? <vbg>

I'm oh so pleased you plan to make it down for the Vacaville get-together. We SIers of the SF Bay Area have nothing but fun, good food, and great zin. Looking forward to meeting you.

Holly D.
