Damn this hits too close to home... My father is in danger of losing 1/3 of his pension because of UAL going bankrupt. Add this to the ass kicking he has already received from the stock market and we are talking some serious pain. My mother is in even worse shape financially. Her retirement money has gone to hell along with the stock market. My step brother, though young, lost all of his savings playing with margin and Cisco. That is not to mention all the friends and friends of friends that I have heard horror stories from. Their parents or themselves or both having their savings ravaged by the market.

For every dollar that I have made during the bust people in my family have lost 10. There is no winning.

Not directed toward you, ild, just venting...
