I really do think FL should bar discussion of patriotism I don't know but it seems to me that we are all patriotic each in his or her own way and it is not for any of us to judge one another on these sorts of abstract and very personal beliefs -- it's almost like religion. So, what can the purpose be? To say mine's bigger than yours? Is the goal simply to discredit someone? -- I think not. Therefore, I really cannot see the value of such comparative ethics discussions within in our present context. Help me out here if I'm missing the bigger picture.... --fl EDIT: Holy Cow! You said that you DO think I should ban this discussion. ahem...never mind... But I'll leave my remarks here for to illustrate my pov (and my lack of attention to detail... )
