Clinton's failure to do so has permanently made it impossible to expect compliance from Saddam again without force -- Saddam now realizes that he need only wait until the next Democrat administration to have his way again

Oh, oh...........the conservative spin/doublespeak is back in play. For weeks now, you've been saying that the boisterous, third worldish, beating the table kind of behavior on the part of Mr. Bush was intended to keep us from going to war; the theory being that he was so intimidating with his threats that Saddam would be forced into compliance.

Now suddenly, you are saying there was never any hope of such compliance; that "butthead" Clinton's approach of sparing the rod and spoiling the child has turned Saddam into a 24/7 truant.

Its very clear that the reigns of power need to be taken back from people who dwell in doublespeak. Its incredibly dangerous to our future.
