9th Circuit Court upholds Assault Weapon Ban abcnews.go.com Not an individual right, regulated=government control blah blah blah............however I must point out that there is one small nugget of common sense in the 9th circuit ruling. The court ruled that the exception to the AWB which allowed retired police officers who no longer have law-enforcement authority to possess weapons which the general public may not possess violates the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection clause. A pyrrhic victory to be certain, but one worth noting.
