I have and always will admire Paul ONeil,I too believe government can be streamlined into a self supporting business. This would put it into a status of a corporation that operates efficiently regardless of politics.

I recall Japan and how she had cabinet changes. The truth was there was a problem that could not be solved in a day. In a world of instant breakfast by the time advisors grasp the problem and attempt to implement a solution the instant has gone. The solution is there but then there are politics, where by the solution might not taste as the honey that politicians need to appeal to the emotion of the people. Instant solution then becomes you defuse the reality of the problem to the the public. How do we do this we do it by changing the participants and shedding the blame of those that are exiting.

Business usually takes about five years to implement a new system so it is operational and cash flow increases. There are cost involved with change that long range will increase cash flow. To me our legal system resembles a ton of weight that can end up breaking the back that tries to support it. China will also tell you by reducing red tape you promote business growth.

There is no simple solution for our problem. You can't eliminate labor cost unit as part of growth incentive in a global world. Currency transactions can and do mean more or less opportunity for business.

Mr ONeil, I give my thanks to you for trying.
