I don't think that is a good way to compare it. For example, Hoover's economy was a collapsing economy while Roosevelt halted the collapse and caused the economy to recover. I would have to go back to analyze unemployment figures as provided by the government to reach an opinion based on fact.

I don't want it to sound like I am picking on Mr. Hoover. He did some goods things when he was not the President. Nor am I a blind fan of Mr. Roosevelt. He did things as President that I will never forgive.

I don't think so. It is clear that the Hoover economy was collapsing. Roosevelt took an out-of-control decline and turned it around. The figures show it conclusively in striking clarity.
