Take my advice: Go buy a brain. convert the factories back to civilian use So we gained by rebuilding our competitors? same time that American companies took control of most of the raw materials around the world. We did? We took control of very little after the war. We ran part of Germany for a while. We ran Japan for a while. We took back the Phillipines, then gave them independence. But basically the sun set in the American Empire when it left Hawaii. Wealth is based on commerce And possession of raw materials. And possession of factories to process those raw materials. And banks. And ..... Has it ever occurred to you that the US could have taken and kept western Europe and Japan and China after WW2? And didn't?
