Canadians
or
Albertans

The freedoms that Canadians strive for are constantly under attack. I am not talking about external attacks, but internal attacks, the shaping forces of the national will upon each and every province and Canadian. It is a difference that Americans cannot grasp, Canadians are in the truest sense of the word, provincial. The problems that beset our country from the outside affect us all, but they affect our national psyche, when we grieve for our young men lost in war and peacekeeping, they are Canadians, not young men from Quebec, Newfoundland or Saskatchewan.
The possibility of a no confidence vote is a misrepresentation of the will of the Canadian voter and represents internal Liberal politics, Mr. Chretien, for better or worse, is our Prime Minister and I do not believe he will step down or should step down. Mr. Martin should consider the total damage being done to the Liberals by his current stance. Kyoto will drive a wedge further into the gap that has always existed between Mr. Klein and Mr. Chretien. Alberta will never forget the NEP and Kyoto could make that period in Alberta history look bright.

Mr. Chretien's legacy is assured, according to many pundits, the little guy is already history. I think Mr. Chretien has always tried to achieve a Canada that most Canadians would want, but that is the unsolicited opinion of one Canadian, qualified by previous observations.
