John, I just reread the Article. Twice. I cannot find one example in it where Harris referred to the "American Left." Either I am blind this morning, (Hey, it's early over here), or you read too fast, and saw something that wasn't there.
As for Harris' ability to exegete Marx, it's terrible.
OK. I challenged you on this, and your response indicates to me that you want to "move on," rather than discuss Harris's article further.
Some more names which you or Harris could research their work to see if it evidences the anti-Americanism he talks about.

You and Nadine continue to offer posts which insist that the American left either hates America, is anit-American, or something similar. I think it's time one or both of you made your case.
Nadine and I did this with you on the subject of "Post Modernism" and it was a waste of time. Every example we gave you was either deflected, or rejected as "not within your definition of Post Modernism."
I will continue to offer posts that I think refute people who are wrong about this country, and if they show a "Hate America" attitude, (which most don't) that is the person's problem, not mine. |
