What the hell are "natural rights?" That argument is a concoction of right-wing extremists and religious zealots to justify alot more than your "right" to own a gun. When did "natural law" first exist? Before guns existed? Who defines what is or is not a "natural right?"

Natural rights are the only rational basis for any theory of justice. If you deny the existence of rights, then you are essentially saying that it is not unjust for someone to invade your house and kill you. Or that it is not unjust for someone to set fire to your property.

To answer your questions, natural rights exist, in my view, as a consequence of man's free will. Via his reason and rationality, he uses this free will to act to improve his natural condition. The outcome of his actions is his property, which can either be obtained from nature or from free, voluntary exchanges with other individuals.

Your "natural law" is used to justify some extremist legal positions that say you can do anything you want with your property even if it pollutes another's

It may be used by others, but I am not one of them. Polluting another's property is a violation of his natural rights.

Now just when the hell did God tell you this was the way things should be?

Why do you presume that "God told [me] this"? How do you know what my religious views are? Or does your political spectrum simply include one set of "good guys" and one set of "bad guys"?
