best-case scenario -- MONSTROUS STAGFLATION
the heavy price for avoiding galloping deflation is imported inflation via USDollar decline that just keeps feeding upon itself

the sad price for remaining so indebted during the great liquidation is stagnant economic conditions that just wont go away

Bush will form a new team that might be far more willing to take big risks
they may be no more competent
now watch either for bigger mistakes or for a bigger price tag on saving the system

the midterm November elections kicked off the agents of change:
- Pitt resigns as SEC Chairman
- Bernanke announced Fed Monetization plans
- Lula in Brazil (cannot avoid) default looms more likely
- Chinese Shanghai Gold Exchange looms more important
- Islamic Dinar conference agreements loom more ominous
- large US States fiscal crises from huge debts (Calif, NY, MA)
- GM & Ford desperately fight off bankruptcy
- ONeill resigns (fired as) Dept Trez Secretary signals change
- Lindsey resigns (fired as) Economics Advisor signals change
- inspections in Iraq stir international keg of dynamite

it will be 1980 again before we know it
