I think the non-Hispanic, non-Asian population of the Southwestern US would blow their gaskets all at once if we did the same.

I've heard that the US will have the second largest Hispanic population at the end of the decade, after Mexico. Is this true? What about Brazil? They speak Portuguese, not Spanish, so they aren't Hispanics?
