<< something in the water? >> How about, also, something in the air. ===> "We discovered a huge -- what we call now an Asian brown cloud -- a haze layer surrounding the whole northern Indian Ocean, and much of South Asia, India, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, and China. And in fact, this happens for about three, four months a year." <=== sciencenetlinks.com
The brown cloud is a couple of miles thick. Plus there are just tons and tons of pollution, especially in the less developed countries, or the dictatorships who don't care about the health of their people. What happens to the growth and development of fetuses, when exposed to constant pollution? I think that the earth will see a progressive increase in mental illness, throughout the world, but especially in those countries that are less developed, or those countries that are more heavily populated, and have heavy industry. In parts of California, for instance, which has a real bad smog/pollution problem, there has been a dramatic increase in children born with autism. The civilized world is headed for a world war against terrorism, and against the criminally insane, who know no human boundaries. |
