Independent for over forty years, all infrastructures left in working conditions by the French gov. Roads, schools, hospitals, post offices, administration offices, harbors, airports. 50 millions tons of oil per year exported, almost as much gas, fertile land almost as big as California with three feet on rain per year, with the real colonialists that have left all their tractors and seeds, the best wine ever(!), no natural enemies, help from USSR, agricultural revolution that gave land to family in a very fair way, and, in the beginning at least, a democratic society.
Then Allah who Akhbar came upon the land like a plague, and, since all the Jews have left, Allahia followers started cutting the good peace loving hard working muslims throats, by thousands.
