Yeah but what a way to make him feel good. One would think if Strom had really changed his ways, Lott's speech would have made him feel awful. Apparently it didn't and apparently Republicans are quite comfortable with it.

There were very many ways Lott could have honored the old man without pridefully championing his days as a race-nazi.
