Prove that she is not a Muslim!

The real point of my post was to show that even in spite of the fact that Turkey is a Muslim country, it was not averse to the Miss World Pageantry. Else it would have reviled against it and there would have been no Miss Turkey available to participate in it, to begin with.

In case you didn't know it already, Turkey is a Muslim country that is quite European in its outlook. Maybe this has to do with the Ottoman Empire which, in its heyday, had suzerainty over several parts of Eastern Europe for several hundreds of years. Also, at the outset of WW1, there was an alliance between Turkey and Germany. Ditto during WW2! To be sure, Turkey has had lots of connections with its European neighbors. And now they are talking of becoming a member of the European Alliance!!!

And interestingly, though a Muslim country, Turkey is not averse to allowing the US to use its airbases for future operations against Iraq, another Muslim country!
