why would he understand IT? Transportation is not where the action is, it is in manufactured goods (and services) specifically order cycles that cross continents. And there isn't much a railway executive would ever have done to sell or buy goods from say China. It looks like Greenspan just recommends friends of his, which are all his age (70s)- so you are looking at executives from industries from the 70s. But Bush is not that age... geez this is really tone deaf on the Bush admin's part. I'm sure this new guy won't put his foot in his mouth all the time but the other issue was policy... It will be interesting to see if Larry Kudlow can spin this positively in some way
