Wildstar...I agree that the bowls are about money. I also agree that VT is probably getting el shafto this year....but...last year VT went to the Gator Bowl over SU...we finished higher in the conference and "deserved" the Gator Bowl ...but $ was the deciding factor..VT's fans travel better. What team kept the Big East from becoming the CUSA in the 90's when Miami was on probation? Syracuse University did as much as any team in the BE(actually more) while Miami suffered through it's down period. In the 90's SU won 2 BE championships outright (97&98)...and shared the championship twice (91&96). VT won the BE championship in 99 and shared the championship twice.. in 95&96. Granted this year SU probably would have finished at the bottom of CUSA, but one lousy year should not rewrite the BE record book concerning the 90's.
