What scares me is just how many people there are operating in the markets who have apparently little or no understanding about what it is that moves them. They have to believe this myth of secret government intervention in order to understand that markets go down and up. If there is one lesson that Japan has in fact taught the US it is that any intervention by the government into the equities markets and currency markets is policy that is destined to fail. I agree with everything you said excepting the myth part of government intervention. They have admitted as much so it's no longer a myth or conspiracy or voodoo or alien or whatever those in denial choose to call it. best... LIG
