Franklin the frog er, turtle gets 5-star reviews at the website:

www.worldvillage.com/wv/school/html/reviews/franklin.htm

And these guys are tough graders- they gave Toy Story 3 stars
and a personal favorite Putt Putt Saves the Zoo 4 stars.

Check out the excerpt ..."franklin the turtle is familiar
even to my son Yates(who would name their son that;)pc) as
the star of Scholastic Incs young reading books"...

Then check out what Scholastic (NASDAQ:SCHL) has done with its
previous stars of its book club:

"The Baby sitters Club"- made into a movie

"Indian in the Cupboard"- made into a movie

Currently- "Goosebumps"- TV Show AND movie with MAJOR sponsors
like Pepsi and Hersheys.

Like Scholastic says, its in 9 of every 10 classrooms in the
country. They have yet to tap the the commercial appeal of
their emerging "go-to" character Franklin. I have confirmed
reports from reliable sources over the past month that the
TV Show and Movie(with accompanying merchandising) is a
go go go...

If Franklin emerges as the "Barney of 97" as suggested in a
previous post, it appears ironic that Beninger(who mismanaged
the co. into near bankruptcy) may a unwittingly bought
for SW the MOST VALUABLE SOFTWARE LICENSE IN HISTORY, outside
of Windows of course!
