Any tech's out there?

PSI (a major ASND ISP symbol PSIX) signs an agreement with
a CAP for 10,000 miles of OC-48 network....the largest
OC-48 network I've heard about. I'm guessing about
250 SONET node locations.

In order to utilize this significant bandwidth, is
it likely that CSCC will provide the backbone switches
into the SONET muxes or would PSI interface the muxes
to ASND (GRF,TNT) directly? I'm only aware of a CSCC DS-3
connection for their frame switch. Is an OC-3/OC-12/OC-48
interface in production?

In either case, this seems like a very positive development
for the ASND/CSCC combination. I can't believe nobody has
picked up on the news. Can anyone speculate on the
number of units from ASND/CSCC are required to support a
network of this size. Would a CSCC switch exist
at each add/drop location?
