Oh i understand your questions all to well. Its you who will not confront the basic questions i ask.
1. What country do you constantly allude to as where folks who US calls freedom fighters somehow did you wrong. Was it pinochet? Was it the contras? I have no clear idea where you are coming from.
2. Why cant you destroy terrorists and their networks and make them so weak that you can then address fundamental issues? Or to put it another way, things are much clearer when there are victors and vanquished in any war. The Arab street once free of binladen or most of bin laden and saddam for that matter can look to a better life with US help. Those folks are the arab worlds silent majority and as in iran they are repressed and cant say what they really want. You give them no respect. You make us feel that all are pro-bin laden because of US policy. This is just not true. Mike
PS I agree with dealing with root causes after the war is won. You cant have agrarian reform on land that is war zone. Why dont you want us to win the war on terrorism first or is it that you dont want us to win at all. I am not saying you are pro-terror, i am saying you are anti-american regardless of the fact that you have american friends etc.
