Here's the Fuji story....

truthorfiction.com

The Fuji Film company is distributing an official map to its customers that does not have Israel on it -Fiction!
<http://www.truthorfiction.com/_themes/bubbles/bd14565_.gif> Summary of the eRumor:
The message says that the Fuji (film) company has been distributing a world map that does not include Israel. The implication being that the company is either taking a position against the existence of Israel or releasing a map that will favor anti-Israel customers. It talks about a boycott of Fuji products to protest the map.
<http://www.truthorfiction.com/_themes/bubbles/bd14565_.gif> The Truth:
Apparently such a map does exist, but TruthOrFiction.com has not found any evidence that it was created or distributed by the Fujifilm company.

Fujifilm has released a statement saying that the map appeared on a calendar that was printed by a company in the Ivory Cost and that Fuji's logo was used without permission. The statement says that as soon as Fujifilm learned of the calendar, steps were taken to stop distribution of it. They called the calendar "unacceptable."

A real example of the eRumor as it has appeared on the Internet: Fuji Co. removed Israel from its complimentary world map that they give to
their customers with a purchase. Yes, in Fuji stores abroad you receive the world map without Israel !!! According to Fuji, we just don't exist...

It is most likely done to entice Arab customers. I am sure, that map
without Israel makes Arabs happy, very happy...

It is a very dangerous precedent- it looks like an indication that Arab calls for a boycott of Israel start bearing fruits. Many Israelis today called for a boycott of all Fuji products- film, cameras batteries etc.
Luckily- there are alternatives: film- Kodak, Agfa, cameras - Nikon, Olympus, Samsung etc.

I personally consider this Fuji's action the worst possible insult for our country and for me personally, and until they apologize and re-print the map, I'm never buying anything made by Fuji and encourage you to do the
same! Also, please spread the word around.
Also important to note - Subaru is Fuji. and choices for cars are plenty.
